Olimpia Niglio is a Professor in Architectural Restoration at the University of Pavia (Italy) and a permanent visiting professor at Hosei University in Tokyo (Japan), where she worked until December 2021. Professor in Comparative History of Architecture at Hokkaido University, Graduate School of Humanities and Human Sciences, Research Fellow at Kyoto University Graduate School of Human and Environmental Studies, Japan, and Professor at Universidad de Bogotá Jorge Tadeo Lozano and the University of Ibagué, Colombia. She studied at the University of Naples “Federico II” where she also obtained the Ph.D., Executive Master at Business School Sole24ore and Post Ph.D. (Miur) in Conservation of Architectural Heritage. She is the director of EdA Esempi di Architettura International Research Center. She is vice president of ICOMOS PRERICO, the international scientific committee on “Place of religion and Ritual” and vice president of ACLA, Asian Cultural Landscape Association (India-Republic of Korea). From 2020 she is president of the pedagogical program “Reconnecting with your Culture”, a member of UNESCO chair University and Heritage and European Commission New European Bauhaus.
