Giulia Annalinda Neglia is Associate Professor in Landscape Architecture at the Polytechnic University of Bari. She graduated in Architecture in 1999, and received her PhD in Architectural Design for Mediterranean Countries in 2003. In 2004 she was recipient of a post-doctoral fellowship at the Aga Khan Program for Islamic Architecture at MIT. An author of about 150 publications, including 6 books and 3 edited books, she has received scholarships from international research institutions, has participated in several national and international research programs, and has coordinated research groups in fieldworks and studies in the MENA region. Member of the scientific board of international conferences, she has delivered keynote addresses, chaired sessions, co-organized, and delivered papers at international peer-reviewed conferences and seminars. She has also delivered public lectures in Italian Universities and abroad. From 2016 she has served as scientific consultant for UNESCO, UN-Habitat and ICOMOS.
